Astra Circuits Ltd. - which recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary, began life offering PCB design and electro-mechanical solutions. It was not long however before customers were asking us to handle prototyping and manufacture of PCB's.
This started with single-sided circuits in 1977 and had developed by 1982 to include manufacture of double-sided circuits. This made us the first company in the UK's West and South West to pioneer the concept of manufacture after birth as a 'Design House'.
In 1989 Astra commited itself to becoming a truly national PCB manufacturer, investing in the hi-tech plant required to produce multi-layer circuits that were to attract major national and international customers.
Our factory is housed in our wholly owned premises covering 15,000 sq.ft.
We have upgraded our systems for Bare-Board testing and a new AOI Station has been installed for inspecting Inner Layers for Multi-Layer Boards. We have also opened up exciting new export markets in Europe and Asia and earmarked a number of areas for future development.
